The Civic Association of the Hamlet of East Quogue was founded in 1960. Our mission is to protect the rural and residential character of the hamlet, to keep our environment and waters safe and healthy for our residents, to engage in and encourage civic participation on a local, town and county level in matters affecting East Quogue, and to work with and support other organizations to strengthen and improve the quality of life in our area.

Focus on our Vision

The Association's vision led to the creation of East Quogue Hamlet Park, a welcoming green space at the intersection of Lewis Road and Montauk Highway

Initiated the Annual Summer Concerts Series in the Park

Unite the community in a celebration of summer through music, laughter, and shared memories at our annual park concert.

Scholarship

The Association demonstrates its commitment to education by offering a merit-based college scholarship each year to a deserving East Quogue student graduating from Westhampton Beach High School.

Environmental Stewardship

The Association actively participated in public hearings and campaigned for the creation of the Final Generic Environmental Statement for East Quogue. August 200.  We have consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental protection and community involvement.

East Quogue Beautification Committee

The Village of East Quogue Beautification Committee is a dedicated group of volunteers who work tirelessly to enhance beauty of the community. Established in 2002, the EQBC is a not-for-profit tax-exempt organization that maintains the hanging baskets on Main Street, the Garden in front of the Post Office, the Native Plant Garden at the Bay Avenue Marine Park, and the boxes around the trees on Main Street. Additionally, the EQBC shares the sponsorship of the Annual Tree Lighting with the Civic Association.

Community Involvement

Through community support, the Association raised funds to acquire the clock that graces Main Street.
